SGM Eksplor and Alfamart Help 20,000 Online Taxibike Drivers Meet Family Nutrition Needs

Invite consumers to shop while donating, SGM Eksplor and Alfamart distribute aid worth Rp. 1 billion to support the daily nutritional needs of the families of online taxibike drivers affected by the pandemic

Jakarta, 2 June 2020 - Together with the community, Danone Specialized Nutrition (SN) Indonesia through SGM Eksplor growth milk brand in collaboration with PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Alfamart) has conducted a shopping program while donating to help meet the daily needs of groups vulnerable to the impact of the COVID pandemic -19. The "SGM Eksplor - Alfamart Shares Love for 20,000 Online Drivers" program is carried out in cooperation with the Yayasan Anak Bangsa Bisa (YABB) founded by Gojek.

Danone Specialized Nutrition Indonesia's Sales Director, Widianto Juwono said, "In line with one of the Danone - One Health missions, we are doing this multi-stakeholder collaboration to help meet the family nutrition of online taxibike drivers who still have to work outside the home and struggle in the midst of this pandemic. Through this initiative, we strive to facilitate the spirit of community cooperation in donating to online taxibike drivers, in this case Gojek driver partners, in the hope of supporting the fulfillment of their daily essential needs, especially good nutrition.

The "SGM Eksplor - Alfamart Shares Love for 20,000 Online Drivers" program took place from 16-31 May 2020 and has collected assistance worth Rp. 1,000,000,000 (one billion rupiah). Donations that have been collected from SGM Eksplor's growth milk sales in the Alfamart outlet network or through the Alfacart and Alfagift applications will then be distributed in the form of e-vouchers to 20,000 online transportation drivers. This e-voucher can be used to shop for daily necessities such as rice, oil, sugar, growth milk for children over 1 year and milk for pregnant and lactating women in all Alfamart stores.

Alfamart's Corporate Affairs Director, Solihin, welcomed the collaboration with SGM Eksplor which invited consumer donations to participate. "In this program, consumers can help others in need through Alfamart's network of outlets as well as Alfagift and Alfacart applications," he explained.

Meanwhile, Monica Oudang, Chairperson of the Anak Bangsa Foundation, said "YABB appreciates the collaboration of Danone Specialized Nutrition Indonesia and Alfamart in lightening the burden on our brothers and sisters affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that this assistance will make it easier for the lives of Indonesian people who depend on daily income in difficult times like this. "

Mr. Gorga Chandra, an online taxibike driver who has received donations from this program said, "My friends and taxibike drivers online are grateful for the initiative and attention from SGM Eksplor, Alfamart, and the community. The donation that we got was very useful to help us meet the daily nutritional needs of families. I hope that assistance programs like this can continue, so that more fellow online taxibike drivers can be helped in the midst of difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, "he said.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Danone Specialized Nutrition has worked with various government and social institutions to provide 33,000 ready-to-eat food packages to medical personnel and distribute more than 48,000 donations of growth milk products to children over 1 year old and pregnant and breastfeeding mothers to families and communities in need.
